With the recent announcement that QF would not continue on with the lease on two domestic A332's, I have a feeling that VH-EBJ/K may be the rego's as both aren't owned/registered to QF but to leasing companies. Any thoughts?

Most of QF's A330 (except the first six A332) are leased. I suspect EBE, EBF, EBJ and EBK would be with JQ for a little bit longer as the next 787 is not due for a while.

I suspect that VH-EBM and EBN are probably the two A332s that will be returned to their lessors as they are 'oldest' A332 in domestic config (excluding the A332s which are owned by QF).

Morning Ricky.

The 2 A332 that will be returned to their leasing company are EBH and EBI. There is an apparent restriction on the aircraft weights in the lease agreement. That's what we have been told.

The current configuration wouldn't be the deciding factor as all of the A330s will be reconfigured in the program commencing later this year. That's -300s and -200s.

Thanks Dave. It is certainly different to what QF has indicated in their public announcement.

I understand that. However, QF has stated that two domestic configured A332 are to be returned to the lessor, hence my assumption.

Makes me thinking which A330 would get reconfigured first...

The two being returned are part of the pool of four remaining JQ birds, EBE, EBF, EBJ or EBK.
EBD is the last JQ bird to undergo conversion from JQ this year and is in the shop now.
