N889CP took off from Melbourne Moorabbin's 17L- a 1300metre runway apparently taking Packer back to Sydney.
Pretty amazing sight watching this huge bird at a gaap aerodrome- at least 5 aircraft in the circuit went around (cessnas pipers etc) and a runway inspection was done after the Global took off. It was holding short with a C150 behind it- wouldve made a perfect photo- unfortunately i forgot my camera:s And to justify the power of its rollers- it got off in what was definately before the 800m mark. |
