Especially when hotels are near capacity and therefore charging rack rates to fill those last remaining rooms, you can easily be looking at a $50,000 hotel bill...

The gate agents do cop it...especially if its one of those "notifications as you check in after standing in line" The FA's do get flak from the passengers when they do finally get on board...the only safe area is up front with us....we are tucked away before pax board then either head for the door as soon as we shut down or stooge around until everyone is gone theh hit the crew line thru immigation etc....either way its not someting that I would wish on anybody,,,not a fun part of the job.
