Do the qantas engineers know how to maintain a 777?

They're about to find out!
Either that or Delta have their own engineers to work on it but have leased the hangar space perhaps? I don't know who looks after Delta...Qantas? Toll? AMSA? John Holland?

Some Qantas engineers were trained on the 777 for other operators when they used to look after them. I believe that none of them would be current at the moment.
Qantas Engineering will be providing them with a hangar, assistance and equipment required to do the task, whatever it may be. I don't know who looks after Delta normally. It is not Qantas.

Could it be possible Virgin Australia are sending a team of 777 engineers from brisbane or melbourne to fix up the 777 for Delta?

Wouldn't VA have a team of 777 engineers based in Sydney?
