Afternoon all,

Looks like DJ have dropped ADL-HBA from 27APR though, Looks like TT have won that battle, considering people on the board saying in a previous thread that DJ's ADL-HBA was safe.

Yield Marty, yield!
Pax loads were good, cargo and e-jet dont go together in the same sentence, actually not much goes in the same sentence as e-jet.

Something I don't agree with I think, especially with the E-190!

Good to see DJ expanding into Darwin now all they need is a DRW-ADL flight

Jason,

You've hit the nail on the head. The only thing is that QF and JQ rule that route and DJ may find it hard to compete. For example from July which is peak season to travel to Darwin QF will have a 767 on ADL-DRW-ADL everyday plus 3 extra flights a week with 738's. Also JQ increase to 5 a week.

If DJ were to start I would think they should start at the peak time for DRW travel in the middle of the year and try and scab the excess JQ and QF pax. Because at the moment for a one way ticket to DRW from ADL in late August costs $340 with QF and $569 (star Class) is JQ's cheapest. So like I said if DJ were to start they should start in June-July to put the other two airlines under the pump on what is one of ADL's most profitable domestic routes for both JQ and QF.

But, the only problem for DJ is the timing of the flight. do they either compete with QF and depart ADL at 0830 and arrive back at 1600 or do an o/n flight like JQ or depart DRW at 0600 and arrive in ADL at 1100 and go back at 12 and arrive back at DRW at 1600. Personally I would go with the 3 option and do a stand alone flight that doesn't compete with either QF or JQ. But on the other hand if they were to compete I would go with the JQ times as DJ could use an E-190 which They have 3 o/n in ADL and send it up to DRW at around 2100 and arrive back in ADL at 0600 the next morning.
