I have flown LAN to Rio De Janiero and return via Auckland, Santiago and San Paulo, and the flight was quite good in Business (A340 and A320). No delays at any of the stop overs, and the crew and service were both good.

If you are a QF Frequent flyer you do get you base points, but not the cabin bonus, unless you book through QF and not LAN. The flight from Santaigo gets into Auckland around 4am from memory, and I was surprised to find the QF lounge open.

Matthew, have a look at http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/LAN...irbus_A340.php

Row 12 is the first row of the forward Economy Cabin.

There are two LAN A340-300 configurations, one has Row 12 slightly forward of the wing leading edge, and the other in line with the wing leading edge.

Behind the wing, Rows 25/26 are the first in the rear Economy cabin, and they are marked as good seats. Looks like they have plenty of legroom.

Due to fly LAN on 14 April, may post a TR if you interested MATT.

Personally. I recommend one way on LAN and one way on Aerolineas. The fares from NZ to Australia are much lower !

Sam

Wink

Yeah Sam a trip report would be great. If the whole trip was up to me I would fly LAN over and Aerolineas back but because I am going over with my dad and this will be his first overseas trip and thee is an opportunity to fly an A380 well you do the math.

So it will be LAN over and EK A380 back.

Please do a trip report.

Thanks
