Any idea on how long CS-TQM will be operated by Strategic?
I'm thinking it'd be nice to see an A340 of some sort on the VH register.

Looks like the Strategic A332 might be back. Enroute DRW-BNE as "Aussie 67".

Question "SA" in YSSY using Aussie 1

A Strategic A330-200 using call sign Aussie One was heard on approach to rwy 25 at YSSY a little before 12.30 pm today. I like the Aussie flags on the winglets.

It is apparently chartered to the Dept of Defence - is it being used to carry politicians or journos on election campaign journeys?

Philip,
I think you may find (happy to be corrected) that it is carrying soldiers from Australia to Afghanistan & where the ADF need them. I saw it over at the International terminal at about 1:30pm today (7/8).

Cheers,
Jayden

You are absolutely correct. It is contracted to the ADFs Joint Movements Group (JMOVGP) for the transport of ADF personnel and equipment to the Middle East. It is the subject of some contreversy at the moment, however...
