I thought that it was due to strong crosswind and they got a gust that pushed them too far sideways. I was listening in on the scanner that day and the tower kept offering 34R to all suitable aircraft as the threshold was more stable on 34R.

Yeah that too.
But if you see the vid, the nose down attitude is very unusual for an aircraft such as 763- the crosswind was also a major factor-20-25+ knots IIRC. |
