Just an update, it's confirmed that all the equipment will be leaving Bahrain on Monday.
This article was a very interesting read, it is quite incredible what DHL do! Quote:
The helicopter service really surprised me!

The most critical stuff will be sent out first, like the garage & tv equip, the rest would go out on the tuesday frtr flts & commercial pax flts(mon/tue). Most of the setting up in KUL would start on Tue's night onwards. Nice article on DHL Rhys, met a few of there team once. Feel sorry for them a bit, working long hours stuck in a little portable office out the back of the pits! |

Yeh, I would too! I had one italian lady from DHL with me onboad an MH freighter once from MEL-AVV. Nice lady, whom travel's all around the world just doing the Formula One logistics for DHL.
Would be an awesome job! Last edited by Karl M; 17th March 2010 at 07:10 PM. |

Once again, not sure if GP related but noted in the MEL area this evening were 9V-SFO as SQ0000 and N408MC SkyCargo as UAE9886 (departed around 10:30pm)

Just for the record, yes UAE9886 was GP related, departed from Avalon.
9V-SFO, SQ7297 is a weekly scheduled flight ex MEL. Cheers. |

Then departures are an hour earlier when the 'seasonal' timetable comes into play in April-October. |
