If OJJ is going on Tuesday,i won't be able to get to the airport before then. If anyone manages a few shots either before she goes or on departure,I'd appreciate it
One of my favourites.... Cheers Jim

I think at least one of every QF type should put at longreach, that's just my 2c worth. It's a sad thing seeing these old birds leave, I just hope they get the 748 |

Unfortunately Longreach has limited space...I would love to see a representative of every type preserved however there just isn't enough space.

Although some are going there are still going to be some around for a few years to come. I reckon many -OJA should go to Longreach, but other than that until such time as the last one is leaving the fleet why should there be any great fanfare?

In all seriousness OJA should be at Longreach, or perhaps they could store it at the new air park at Alice Springs if it's already too full at the museum. OJA and her sisters changed everything for Australian travellers. It solidified one stop to Europe and made non-stop across the Pacific routine. Not to mention the world record. Perhaps we need a "Save The PA Worldport" style movement to save her

OJS, OJT and OJU will stay in the QF fleet for many more years to come and they're the newest 747-400s.

These are even newer. I think they started being delivered around 2002. Cheers Jim

Rory was talking specifically about the 400's, not the 400ER's, so the 3 he mentioned are the newest 400's being delivered 1999/2000. But yes the -400ER's are newer.
