Missed the 787 due to waking up nice and early...not. However, I didn't mind, I was more concerned about the 707, I managed to get a video but it wasn't great as I forgot my tripod, and I tried shooting through the fence from the beach! Oh well, hopefully I'll get a better video when she's back, that sound and smoke was bloody amazing.

James, if you had made the video of the 787 it may of turned out like this as it is at beach fenceline too.

Mine was a bit less steady than that!
I also got the focus a bit mucked up through the fence, I may upload to youtube later on.

Great shots all.

Kurt where abouts did you get the 707 from. You look quite elevated for a 16R arrival. I went to Ikea on the other side of the arrival but my shots where much darker than yours.

Here's my effort from down here in Melbourne, as it taxies back along taxiway echo. Heat haze was a problem, and I did have a few shots of it vacating 27, but they were ruined by the heat haze:
