Perhaps the new livery would appear on one of the A330-300s? The first 333 VH-QPA was delivered on 28/11/2003, more than 8 years ago. Has a D Check been performed yet? A repaint wouldn't be far away.

You could argue the opposite too, that if people knew the special livery was on Nancy Bird (even if the name was changed), and we can assume the media will make a big deal about it, then they would have no trouble linking the a/c to it's past. But as another standard livery it has more chance of hiding away.

I won't disagree, both arguments make sense in a way...

Has anyone photographed (or found a news report) with VH-QOI today?

Was lucky enough to se QOI depart Canberra around 1635 this afternoon. For a relatively simple livery I really liked it. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me, however if the Mrs didn't leave work late, would never of seen the aircraft!!!

Cheers

Anyone got a really bright flash to capture its landing. Was hoping I'd take it to Perth tomorrow. Instead it's OJD.

Todd.

Came into Canberra at least twice yesterday, came back in around 18:35 and departed again at 19:00. Overheard a kid describing it as "The Guitar plane".

Also have OEJ on Plane Plotter and Flight Radar24. You can tell OEJ is an empty plane as it is cruising at 43,000 feet, while OJO operating QF1 has just passed underneath at 34,000 feet.

I can see OEJ. Confirmed new livery. Will update with name if possible.
