VAI has a lot of aircraft out of service for a long time, and Tigerair have a lot of cabin crew not working productively for a long time all for the addition of 4 seats to these 737s.
Tigerair cabin crew who will fly 737 have long ceased flying A320 to observe and train as supernumerary crew on VA 737s, and we're still a month and half from launch. |

There is a lot more to it than just 4 extra seats, YPM will jump for the Bali routes while ASKs will go up on the more profitable redeployed aircraft routes. Tiger reported $13.9M EBIT this morning, a significant turnaround in performance.

Evening all,
Sorry to drag this topic back up. VH-VUD ferried up to Townsville on Saturday afternoon as 'VA9901'. Could this be another one to be repainted into Tiger colours? |

Just letting you know that VH-VUD was ferried TSV-MEL as VOZ9902 this morning after being repainted into the Tiger colours. As far as I am aware, this aircraft will be used for training until December when it will then be entered into service (Domestic).

I just love how Virgin crew and staff learn what's going on from pages like these. The E Jets are going... more 737 flying to cover CBR/ADL/HVB/AYQ. A330 going international... more 737 flying to cover transcon... but we're also losing 737s..???
