Is the schedule for delivery and route allocation any further advanced ?

Interested in 7, 8, 9 and 10 and the impact that might have on plans for SYD-LAX.

8th (MSN050) - January 2011
9th (MSN055) - Late January 2011
10th (MSN062) - March 2011

Thanks Oliver.

Now, any guidance from those in the know on which routes these will be deployed on ?

Will they:-
  • bolster Syd-Sin-Lhr to daily from Syd ?
  • bolster Syd/Mel-Lax to daily ?
  • shift 744 off QF107/108 and replace with 388
  • commence Syd-Hkg or Syd-???
I am certain some of the answers will have already been covered in other posts - I am equally mindful that the goalposts move regularly and what was "in vogue" two months ago is now most likely "ancient history".

Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure that for at least the QF 107/108 flight, the A330-200 is being used from now on?

Somebody in the know can confirm that.

As far as I know, the A330-200 will stay on QF107/108 LAX-JFK-LAX.

As for the 380 routes, aren't they meant to increase MEL-LAX 6x a week and MEL-LHR daily.

Yes, I think this is correct.

Just to clear a few things up.
From Qantas.com in March.
Once the 10th A380 arrives there will be:
Daily A380 MEL-SIN-LHR (QF 9)
6 weekly A380 MEL-LAX (QF 93)
Daily A380 SYD-SIN-LHR (QF 31)

No mention of SYD-LAX but I think QF 11 will also go daily. Once the next batch of A380s arrive then they will look at other routes such as HKG.

Regarding the QF 107/108 the SYD-LAX sector is still operated by a 744, the 322 only operates the LAX-JFK sector.

The 332 ops

QF141 SYD-AKL x 6pw (Sun flight ops Aus-based 73H).
QF25 AKL-LAX Daily
QF107 LAX-JFK x 5pw

Hope that helps.
