This might be a dumb question, but when they carry the 5th pod, does that mean less pax or cargo due to weight? I know its not going to tip left or right which would be very Monty Python-esque for comedy value, but just a curious question from a novice. Thanks

Just wondering if there is/was any kind of shaped cover proposed for the front of the 5th pod to aid aerodynamics????

Just in case anybody is interested, today's QF5 is operated by an A330-300.

Does it go through to Frankfurt or just Singapore?

Yep. The A333 will do excatly the same as the normal QF5 (go all the way to Frankfurt). The rego was VH-QPC by the way.

Can an A333 fly SIN-FRA? QF5 has been operated by an A330-300 in the past, and I think even a 767, and it usually only goes as far as SIN and then the pax move across to a 747
I'm also not sure the Cabin Crew would operate the SIN-FRA sector without horizontal crew rest, which A330's lack. |

Maybe your right, all I know is when it took off on flightradar the information said it was going the whole way.
