Hi Andrew
I received "QF32" for my birthday a few weeks ago and couldn't put it down. What a great read and I finished it in less than two days. A great inspiration and textbook examples of teamwork and crisis management at their best. I found some of the technical issues beyond me and there were a couple of small mistakes but an outstanding book nevertheless. The only thing that irked me was to find out less than a week after my kids had purchased the book and paid postage from Phantom Media, all up $43.89, that it could have been purchased from Big W for less than $20 ! I would never have thought that it would be such heavily discounted in a chain store so soon after release. Enjoy the read Cheers Bob |

I made the mistake of buying it from the publisher after reading the article in "Australian Aviation".
It was a present from my children but my nearest Big W in Perth in kms away. But had I known it was available in book stores, I would not have been in such a hurry to get the book which would would have saved them over $20 Lesson learned. |

read it the other day too and absolutely loved it. For those interested you can listen to RAS interview with Dave Evans which was recorded not long after the accident and there is also a fine interview with John Bartels who was captaining the QF 29 out of HK.

Rolls Royce renowned for ...?
Shame on Rolls Royce - what a truly shocking catalogue of missed opportunities to have prevented this incident. And it could have had a much more serious outcome in terms of loss of life had it not been for the remarkable skill of the crew and the resilience of the aircraft despite the extent of damage to vital systems.
