You're not, I think it is rather smart, a bit more colour wouldn't hurt but it looks better than a red jet!

I don't mind the livery, in fact I sort of like it. Saying that, I didn't like the Qantas livery when it came out and now I love it, so maybe the opposite will be true here.

I flew DJ228 (ADL-MEL) today, and it was branded as "This Virgin Australia service to Melbourne". Was very surprised to be hearing it.

I was disappointed when seeing the first photo (night shot in KL), but seeing the plane in the flesh at SYD today, I was impressed, especially from close up. And the new 737 interior is just mindblowing!

That shot that Kurt posted is just amazing.

At the end of the day, sure its nothing overwhelming, but its a change, and looking forward to the new photo opportunities apart from the day in day out Red Jets!

Get your Vaus shots while they exist!

Will we start to see "Virgin Australia" stickers placed over the "Virgin Blue.com.au" titles on the side of the current aircraft?

I wonder how rapidly the fleet will be painted into the new livery

Does that mean I get a new itinerary sent for an exist DJ booking?
Also will be interesting to see how other aircraft look in this, especially the ATRs whenever they arrive.

I think it does convey a sense of elegance and sophistication about it, but I think a light silver rather than white would look better. The logo, flying woman and red stripe on the engine look good as does the tail, but it leaves the rear part of the aircraft behind the wing looking bland, and I think a V Australia style Australian flag would look great there.

Apparently 20 aircraft will be painted into the new livery this year and the first V Australia 777 will be painted into new colours next year when one goes in for heavy maintenance.
