Though in an Airbus you can also pull the "Altitude" selector as well.

Not quite. I am keen to explore the concept of a heavily regulated environment having more transparency and secondly, a scheme that sets out to expose non compliance, better than it is done today. I am of the opinion the current scheme is inadequate of informing and protecting the consumer. The show cause notice was advertised in the media around March. The show cause notice gave insight into the possibility of a suspension. No reasons are offered. I just think the regulators effort falls short in protecting the industry -holistically. |

Just noticed that Tiger have now suspended tickets sales for dates beyond 09/07/11.

According to what I heard over the wireless this morning, ticket sales have been suspended "pending an announcment at midday tomorrow" , which is pretty much the same line they've currently got on their site.

Interesting to read that the control tower at Avalon was unstaffed when the Tiger flight descended too low.

They had to suspend ticket sales otherwise the ACCC were going to sue them for $200 million
Pretty sure YMAV is not staffed after 10pm where there is a Jetstar and Tiger arrival |

Having the tower open or closed is not an issue, at Virgin Australia we operate into many airports when the tower is closed, plus we operate into regional airports without towers.

If they are grounded for that long, I will make a prediction that they will pack up and go home to singapore.
