I believe ADS-B will be mandatory for all aircraft operating above F290 (29,000ft).

Thanks Nigel for the heads up. Had a gut feeling that things have changed since that drawing was done in Nov 08.
On a serious note, the maps are drawn using a software program that uses Google Earth as a base. Not sure if the latest Google Earth photo shows the new airport works. Each section uses a straight line drawn between two lat & lon points. So curves are a series of multi straight line entries which is very time consuming and hard on the eyes. I did the original outline a few years ago and now Paul Brown from SBS Resources http://www.sbs-resources.com/index.html supplies the data. Sydney Airport outline drawing is made up of three files and can be used in both BaseStation and PlanePlotter. The files show the airport layout, buildings and apron markings and can be turned on or off depending on how much detail is required. If anybody wants a copy for their BS or PP, only have to ask.

Looks like VH-OGV has joined the ADS-B party. On climb out of Melbourne at the moment.
