Newly acquired QLink A320 VH-VQW flew BNE-PER yesterday as JQ7991. A few hundred kilometres east of PER it did a left turn and after another hundred kilometres turned right and headed back towards PER. I though that this must have been an ATC delaying measure at first but looking at the aircraft name I think it diverted to fly over Wave Rock, which is roughly in the area flown by VQW.

Looks like VQW hasn't been handed-over (delivered) to QLink yet.

It is on the PER-BNE-PER run for a couple to days using JQ flight numbers.

A380 OQL flew SYD-MEL yesterday as QF6032. Not sure why unless for further training before it starts SYD-HKG-SYD services on 26/3/23.

News sources are saying it (OQL) arrived in MEL with no pax but "full of fuel" and will be used, if needed, to refuel smaller aircraft through the refuelers' strike today.
