RWY 19L is currently closed due to flooding of the taxiways...
ATIS showing TWY B9 and TWY A available for tow only between A4 and B9.

We've had 2 full days of torrential rain and now we are getting a storm .
Rain rates atm are around 70mm a hr.

INFO L. HIGH INTENSITY APPROACH & HIGH INTENSITY RWY LIGHTING OPERATING. START CLEARANCE REQUIRED. ACCESS TO APRON LIMITED. EXP DELAY. TWY B BTN TWY C1 & TWY C8 NAVBL. TWY B9 & TWY A AVBL TOW ONLY BTN TWY A4 & TWY B9. RFF CAT 7 UFN. QNH: 1005. EXP INST APCH. RWY 19R ARR & DEP.

Yep, I'm just across the river and have had in excess of 500mm in the last few days.

I'm West of the airport and had 560mm since midnight and 1250mm since the rain started properly on Friday morning.

Is BNE open? I can see from the chopper footage that everywhere around Archerfield apart from the airfield is under water

Yes, it's open. Runway 19L/01R and several taxiways are closed due to flooding. Access to the International Terminal and Logistics Apron is via tow only.
