Firstly this is all hear say.

I heard yesterday that Aviation Australia have moved one of the 2 MD-82's to make way for VH-YQW ? the 717.

I have not been to that part of the airport for awhile so cannot confirm.

Lloyd, that has been the rumour, It has been donated to Aviation Australia as an IA. Also SXI held an event to celebrate the last B717 ferry from Aus.

Yes Greg i knew the rumour and i am just trying to substantiate it .
Looks like the rumour is coming together Ha Ha

Looking at the satellite from Friday it looks like the MD82 are still there in the same spot.

Wonder how long the MD-82s will last before they're cut up. The ex Ansett 727-100 that they had for a while was scrapped in 2021. It's only a matter of time.

Maybe you could organise the satellite to do a more recent recon

Ok will try..Ha Ha.

I was going out this evening for the SQ 744F however more storms are forecast so i wont now.

I do have another friend onto it and mayby he will go tomorrow?

The Boeing 727 was scrapped due to corrosion. It was unsafe apparently.
