Hmm.........Not sure what to make of this one.

Apparently Alliance are going to be operating some Virgin Australia flights with a couple of F100's in VA livery, something to do with E190 refurbishment.

Maybe just a rumor doing the rounds.

Are you serious?

That takes the cake! The nicest looking aircraft in VA livery by far.

Looks like they begin F100 flights from BNE-NTL on Feb 13. They are scheduled to go right through the year. This cannot be right.

Yes it is correct.VH-XWM and VH-XWN according to other boards will operate BNE-CNS,NTL,PPP,ROK from 13 feb. They will be painted in Virgin colours.

Nothing to do with E-190 refurbishment, but more to do with expansion of trunk routes by replacing 2 x 737's from QLD regional routes and putting them onto BNE-SYD-MEL.

It will be a 12 month contract.

Alliance Airlines certainly are benefiting from both Virgin and QLink expanding in the last 12 months. They are still operating F100's for QLink on the BNE-ROK runs.

Its amazing as soon as they get rid of the E170s they get similar sized but older F100s to fill the gap in capacity. Will be great to see them in the VA colours will be a hit on planespotters sites etc.

Now that is really cool and very unexpected, always loved the look of the F100, hopefully one will possibly get subbed into Sydney.
