AJ - Thanks for the pics - nice.....

And I stand by my comments that the green looks quite OK - although the shade is a little lighter than it looked in earlier photos.

Here are some of mine. The photo quality is pretty poor but I didn't really have a choice. I only bought my first DSLR last Friday, so I barely had time to figure it out, and it only had a 18-70mm lens, so I had to bail-out on The Mound and stand by the fence at the Beach. Of course backlighting was a big drawback, but oh well, it was great to be out there nonetheless!!

Exclamation New sign needed!

With the advent of the A380 this sign needs updating:

Hey Tim,

Thank you and likewise!

As exciting as it might have seemed it wasn't a part of the plan at all. It's rather due to traffic jam at JP's queue, hehe. I wasn't actually planning to go out to see the not-so-uglybus at all as I had an important concert that afternoon so I should've been sleeping rather than running around with 2.5kg hanging on my neck. But I'm glad I did, it was nice be there and see that.

See you out there soon,
K.

What are you talking about? I've already updated the sign!

See the sticker placed under the STOP part of the sign? I put it there quite a few months ago.

Sorry, Nigel - I couldn't read it in the photo but now that you point it out, I can just make it out.

It's only a paper sticker with photocopier ink. I thought it would have peeled off or faded long ago, so I'm actually surprised it has lasted as long as it has!

It was put there after Andrew McLaughlin pointed it out to me.

How about you just replace the four a/c designations with "HEAVY"?

I guess that depends on people's individual interpretation of the word 'heavy' and how it applies to aircraft as they see them.

At the southern end (and possibly the northern end...I can't remember but will have a look tonight) of the western perimeter road there is now a sign saying don't proceed if anything above Code C (B737/A320) aircraft are taxiing.
