Out of curiosity can the A380 fit into the old 747 domestic parking bays at SYD and MEL, or is bussing required to a remote bay.

A380 VH-OQL is operating SYD-AUH at present as QF6015 for maintenance which I hope includes its refurbishment. OQK has also been in AUH since 24/2/24 undergoing maintenance which means that QANTAS will be operating with six A380s for an indeterminant time. This is able to be achieved as QF127/128 completed its summer A380 operations to HKG on Tuesday morning of this week.

https://cargofacts.com/allposts/carr...hters-in-2024/

The 4 remaining Boeing Freighters (2 x 733, 1 x 734 and 1 x 763) will be gone by the end of the year with three additional A321Fs due this year.

Edit: this would mean the last VH- registered 767 will be gone by years end.
