It didn't 'miss curfew'. They had taxi clearance before time on the hour so could have departed but were advised by ATC when they were at the B2 holding point that they had to return to the gate due to an 'engineering issue'. The crew didn't seem to be aware that they had a problem.

The C-130 was very low over my house (not anywhere near an approach point) at about 1600.

Starting 07SEP11, Singapore Airlines is adjusting Airbus A380 operation on Singapore – Sydney service. There are no changes to A380 operating flight out of Singapore, but Sydney departure will see operation changes.

Sighted B763 VH-OGG overhead a short time ago and checking Acars it is operating QF6023 to Singapore.
OGF still at the Jet base yesterday hasn't flown since 1st Sept and was slated as the next B767 to leave the fleet.
