Default QF21

Wife is on QF21 to Tokyo tonight. Seems Wipha will make landfall in the kanto area(NRT) about the same time QF21 lands. Status shows the flight unchanged.
I believe other airlines are offering free changes of tickets to avoid NRT because of the storm.
I thought the flight may divert to Osaka or ?

Any thoughts.

Geoff

Just to finish off what happened. Qantas did not announce the 'delay' of the flight until late Morning of the flight date, so my wife decided about 10 am(she could wait no longer...) to defer the flight for a week. Qantas decided, quite wisely to delay her originally booked QF21 until the next day at about 10.00am, which got the a/c into Narita about 7 pm, after the worst of the storm had passed.

She left for Narita on QF21, on the 21st Oct...Again, several cyclones in the area, but not affecting the flight into Narita.

It in weather like this you are pleased we have such a safe airline.

Geoff
