Virgin Blue website problem??
Ok, so I don't know if it is me, but is anyone else having 'issues' with the Virgin Blue website (www.virginblue.com.au) It sits for, like, ages, and then redirects to http://www.virginblue.com.au.org/ and I get the following message:

URL parsing
http://www.virginblue.com.au.org/ is NOT what you think it is!
A URL is parsed from right to left from the "//" to the first "/" (after that it's a conventional file path specification). So your apparent redirection is to the "au" second level domain within the .org generic top level domain. The au.org domain name is owned by Americans United for Separation of Church and State! Your browser is therefore going to that organisation's server and asking it for their subdomain called www.virginblue.com which the error message you received is simply telling you they don't have set up within their website. What I suspect has happened is that you've typed the address into your browser without fulling clearing out a previous .org URL, or by using a copy and paste from somewhere else, or by clicking on a wrongly coded link from somewhere else. For interest, here is the authoritative "WhoIs" listing for au.org: Quote:

Firstly, thanks for your, as usual, througherly researched and informative post, I do like reading these... But, as I said in my original post, I had entered the correct URL, that is http://www.virginblue.com.au and after it 'hanging' for a little while, it THEN went to the .org url. Now, whilst I am no guru when it comes to all thing on the net, this was baffelling me, as I am fully UTD with antispy/virus etc, so it had me puzzeled. After reading through the couple of posts saying that everyone else was good, I thought it had to be at my end, so I did a little digging at home, and with my ISP (VBB). it ended up being a slow (VBB tells me a busy time in my area... hmmm... and most likely a busy time at BD website... hmmm...) which is why it was happening! All is working good now, even from work! But thanks again, and have a great day! |
