BNE last Friday now gets United 3 a week from LAX adding to the daily SFO flights.

The LAX flights are only seasonal at this stage.

This month sees Vietjet go from 2 a week to 5.

CZ go to daily as do MU also.

FJ are 9 a week

Lots more Qantas to Queenstown and VA to Fiji,APW and NAN also.

On some days in Dec and Jan we have 50 International departures around 93% of previous 2019 movements.

BAC have previously announced more news before years end on returning and new airlines in 2024.

Yesterday very early storms rolled in after 100% humidity.Over 90mm of rain in a few hours.Arrivals got in but no departures due to lightning nearby.

This caused massive flow delays which resulted in a que for takeoff of 17 aircraft around 0950 am.

For some reason they only used 19R for departures at that time.

At this time another 4-5 aircraft were held on taxiway Bravo not allowed to taxi off.

Have a look at Julia Flights live stream yesterday around the 0945-10am time.

So it looks a busier year in 2024 as international traffic heads back to pre covid levels of 2019.

Work is about to commence on numerous huge projects in both terminals and domestic car park 2 expansion.

Airline wise Skytraders have commenced fifo flights twice weekly to WA mines.
ASL will start ops shortly
New charter and fifo airline Great Southern Air is planning to start mid year.
American and Delta have confirmed starts in late Oct and early Dec.

Skytrans getting 321F aircraft and BNE will be their maintenance base so i guess flights are coming out of here as well.

BAC are chasing more new international airlines and a few to come back as well.

WATCH this space.
