Super would define the wake turbulence category for the aircraft. B747's at Sydney occasionally use the term 'Heavy' at the tail of their callsign, but I believe in some overseas countries it's part of the standard phraseology.

Super is a common addition to all A380 callsigns.

I've never heard Singapore use it for their on-ground pre-departure stuff; is it mentioned on Clearance Delivery? I can't remember hearing Emirates use it either...or the Antonovs...does anyone other than Qantas actually use it or am I just not listening at the time?

Yep they use it on apprach when calling the tower Nigel.

Ah ok...I'm normally glued to the ground freq's for most of the day and only hear the initial tower calls at around 0600 or during runway inspections when there are no A380's on approach.

Does anybody know what Japan Air 500 was, about 11-12 this morning? Not one of their usual flight numbers.

That's probably "Jackpot ninety five hundred" (ZG9500) you heard. It's Viva Macau's B762 B-MAV. They departed at 1130.

Yet another call sign which i'm hoping someone will be able to shed some light on. Was out at Willy yesterday and heard on i think the tower frequency "Foxtrot 2 India Mike (F2IM)" several times but never saw it. Does anyone know what this would have been?
