Photos: A week along the fenceline (55 Photos)
Hi gents (and ladies!)
I'd like to share some shots taken over the past week with periodical visits to the fence of a few afternoons over the past week. In some cases I was after something (707), and either missed it or vaguely got it (E.g. VH-EAG Connie), or just really wanted to spend sometime out there to take advantage of good weather. Anyhow, the photographs as follows, by date: Saturday 6th November 2010 VH-LJJ Love the scheme on these planes A very poor quality cropped shot of the Connie, taking off from 34R. Landing on 34R Tuesday 9th November 2010 Aircraft landing on Runway 07 Aircraft landing on Runway 16R |

Oh, and this random 707 just shows up. How odd! (The last 3 taken from the T3 Qantas terminal) Big thanks to Tim Bowrey on this Tuesday, for his guidance and company with finding these spots and the movements of the 707. I owe you big time! Wednesday 10th November 2010 Was good weather when I left work. When I made it to the airport it deteriorated, but at least I got to see a Singapore A380 depart (Albeit empty), uncertain how long before they return. |

Thursday 11th November 2010
After the previous afternoon's attempt, I vowed to return out here completely prepared, this time with a ladder and scanner and spend the afternoon out here until dusk. The following were my results. |

That pretty much sums it up! I am still practicing, and certainly I need more refinement with photographing fast moving aircraft. I would greatly appreciate any feedback which can improve these photos, from compositions to editing. Hopefully the weather clears up a little and some spare time can be found for me to head back out! Also, pretty much sharing all these pictures has prompted me to open up an account with Airliners.Net or something. However in saying that, am I correct that their screening guidelines are a little strict that would reject most photos that get submitted to them? Thanks for viewing! |

Hi Andrew
I think there are exemptions for military/humanitarian/national interest/special interest reasons and are considered on a case by case basis. So perhaps JT's visit was allowed as a "special interest" -ie visiting for QF's 90th birthday and as the star guest at the Channel 7 Telethon in Perth this weekend. Cheers Bob |

Nice photos Maikha.
Re airliners.net, their standards are very high, so I also suggest jetphotos.net. They will still reject rubbish, but standards are not as over the top as airliners.net. |
