Default Heard on the airwaves

QF 706 the other morning ADL-CBR was part way thru his SID when he was given track shortening to a waypoint (#) almost at his destination.

In a disbelieving tone, he asked for confirmation. Yes, cancel the SID and track direct to #

And his reply to Approach...." Looks like I should have you rostered on for all my flights! "

G'day Zwecky,
During a visit to YPAD last week, upon departure I was given direct tracking to my destination (540nm's to the north) basically abeam YPAD on climb. Was probably the same controller, .

When I was working at PF, I used to regularly hear some of the freighters get "cleared direct to a 10 mile final RWY 34 SY" by AD App.

How good is that?

A B737 pilot the other day was so keen to get to his destination that he asked for " short trackening "

What do they call a tongue-twister like that?

I think it's called "Spooking in Speanerisms" (Speaking in Spoonerisms)

Rob, you should know that 9 out of 5 pilots are dyslexic!
