Reading that ex-VA B773 VH-VPF is on the move tomorrow (HKG via BNE)
Nothing yet, though, on FlightAware.

As noted in my previous post, ex-VA B773 VH-VPF has departed BNE in route to join VH-VOZ in SIN (not HKG)

Dave, are these eight B738s, excluding VH-VUE, the additional ones that it has been reported will return to service with Virgin?

From your earlier posts we still have VH-VUE, VUX, VUY, YIW & YVC as originally remaining with Virgin but still in storage. Is there any change to these aircraft returning to service?

VUE will remain and will come out of storage at some stage in the near future.
VUX is still in TT colours and in storage.
VUY as per VUE
YIW will be back towards the end of next week.
YVC as per VUE

Ex-VA VH-VUC has been cancelled from the CASA register (Exported to Guernsey). The aircraft is in TNA reportedly for a freighter conversion.

Is Virgin Australia planning to return to the SYD to CBR route with ATR72s? The reason I ask is that from Monday 26/7/21 the Virgin booking site shows nine direct flights per day on the route operated by ATRs. Prior to this date there are no direct flights available, the system offering flights only via MEL.

The flights have what look to be genuine flight numbers but are only operated by ATRs. I presume that Virgin may either operate the services themselves, defying their one aircraft mandate, or lease some of their ATRs in storage to Alliance or another airline to operate the flights on Virgin's behalf.

Any comments from any other members on the likelihood of Virgin returning to this route? Competition for REX who also intends to operate the route.
