A bit rowdy in Sydney last night
I came in on 16L in a Metro 23 and on the ILS we had 140KIAS - with a groundspeed of only 98kts at times.
Oh, and lots and lots of rain. Didn't see any spotters out, wonder why? |

Not saying they weren't there, Granny. Just that, due to the lack of light (ie, it was dark), Bill didn't see 'em...

Are you flying Metro's now, Bill?

Yep, back on the POS Metros.
It's because I want to spend more time at home, looking after my aging father and I can't do that with the Air Atlanta job, nor the Qantas one. So back with Pelair again .... |

Welcome to the family Bill, I hear Pelair might be getting one of our Saabs!
You might end up on that one day. David.M.

Welcome back Bill.
Geez, 747 back to a flying pencil, thats a hell of a down grade. Are you reaching for the throttles wondering where the other two have gone?? How many goats can you fit in a Metro??

Yeah it sucks and I hate Metros but it's a convenient job for staying at home.
FWIW I was in Pelair previously, in 94- 95, also flying Metro 2's. |
