Default No QF8 arrival today??

Anyone know what is happening with the usual QF8 into BNE/SYD from DFW today 1/11?

It doesn't seem to be listed on the Sydney flight arrivals and checking Flightaware, all the 744ER fleet seem to be elsewhere,so I'm assuming that there is no flight today.

Seems a bit unusual, anyone know why?

Also noted that OEF arrived as QF22 from NRT and OEH arrived as QF6.
A bit unusual for these flights to have ERs on them.
Maybe something to do with it.

Cheers
Jim

Heres my take on it Jim. It is not a daily service. There is no flight that leaves the USA on Tuesday (or Sunday for that matter). As it gets into SYD two days later. ie Thursday. There will be no flight for Thursday arriving in SYD.

You are looking for a flight that doesn't exist.

As for ER's doing NRT and FRA runs well as they retire more 747-400's those flights will be slotted into the ER flying pattern.

Not according to the QF7 flight schedules.

I was under the impression that QF7/8 went daily from 1 July 2012.

There has certainly been QF8 arrivals for the last 3 Thursday mornings,so im not sure whats changed???

Cheers
Jim

I got that gem of info off the qantas website which shows no DFW SYD flight for Tue 30 on the timetable. PDF time table also shows no Tue flight until 13 Nov. Yes there was a media statement about the daily ops from 1st July.

I am just saying there appears to be no sinister reason why there was no QF 8 on Thu. You will have to ring Qantas to find out why it isn't daily as advertised.

Thanks Kurt for posting the sched that I looked at.

All good Fred, the only reason I asked was that during October it certainly appeared to be daily (with the exception of 30th).

Given that I know it departed DFW at least on Sun 14,21 and 28 Oct and Tues 16 and 23 Oct,I just thought someone may have known why it didn't operate on the 30th.

Obviously, the schedule that Kurt posted answers that, and the additional info of no Tues flight till 13 Nov.

That was the info I was after.

Thanks
Jim
