JQ to DPS
Hey guys,
On 16 Feb I am heading up to Bali for a week of RnR. Can't wait. However I just got notified of a change in flight details, seems both my flights ex SYD on 16 Feb and ex DPS on 23 Feb have changed eqp. Both flights will now be operated by A320s and going via DRW. I am not to fussed, all though not supper keen on sitting in a A320 for over 8 hrs! Do JQ do this often? I presume it has a lot to do with loads? Cheers M |

You do get to have an hour or two break in Darwin each way!

(if it is like the JQ to vietnma) you will go thru customs/immigartion in Darwin, and need to recheck in Darwin with bags on the retutn sector

WTF? recheck in in DRW on the return leg, how annoying, sounds like a phone call to JQ is on order to suss this one out...
Stay tuned. Cheers M |

You might want to change your days if you can. 330 direct or all that hassle thru DRW and a 320?

Well the lass at Qantas has just said that you go through customs in Sydney and not Darwin. Not convinced though, we will see what happens in a couple weeks I guess.
8hrs on a A320....this is sounding worse and worse by the minute.... Cheers M |

see if you can book on the SYD-DRW or DRW-SYD leg, if yes means immigration is in Darwin (the Vietnam flight does pick-up in Darwin for Sydney thus a domestic flight into T2 at Sydney)

As far as I can see it is still JQ37/38 being operated by an A320 (together with associated schedule change) - so DRW will just be a tech stop I imagine.
