Default Newcastle (Williamtown) Passenger Ramp

Hi all,
Am after a diagram of the apron at YWLM, just the passenger ramp and where the parking positions are. I believe they have been enlarged over the last few months. The Air Services Australia isn't any help, im guessing due to the fact its a shared RAAF facility.

So if anyone can help, I checked newcastleairport.com.au, but how many gates and who parks where please.

And also what callsign does Aeropelican use ? Wikipedia and just about everywhere else says 'Aeropelican' but im sure on the scanner I've heard just 'Pelican'.

Thanks
Mark

Correct Mark,

Aeropelican do use the callsign 'Pelican xxx'.

In the civil terminal you have Aeropelican, Jetstar, Tiger (If they still go there), Qantaslink, Virgin and Brindabella Airlines.

Have you tried Google Maps?

I don't know how up to date they are or indeed if they'd feature much detail given it's an RAAF base, but it might be worth a shot.

Nigel,

Although Google has done some new overflys of Williamtown, it was all done before the recent Apron Expansion. The older smaller apron is depicted on the Sat pics.

To show how old the pics are, the old Budget/Avis liveried 717 is sitting on the BAE apron.

There's a Herc taxiing on Alpha, but interestingly not a sign of a Hornet or Hawk.

But try and find the Black Macchi!!!!!

Nice idea though.

One Black Macchi located at:

32°47'22.50"S
151°50'47.04"E

Looks like an F18 fuselage just to the west.

What about the guy swimming in Lane 1 ?
