Hi Tim!
I would hazard a guess and say it will stay for the duration of her concerts.
No point going anywhere in the interim.
Probably depart on 13th Dec. Only surmizing of course.
Cheers John

Hi Tim,
The Budgie has concerts (according to her website) on Sunday (14th), Tuesday (16th) and Wednesday (17th)..so it would be a fair assumption that the DC8 will depart for MEL early in the am of 18th. Given it arrived here at 06.30, would imagine a similarly early departure time to enable equipment to be set up for MEL shows.
Hope that helps
Wayne

Thanks Wayne and John for the ballpark days anyway. I dont want this to be one of those, "Sorry Tim, it left thismorning" stories again like the Saudi 747SP. This is the only photo I could really manage after work this evening.

Cheers, we need to keep this thread updated

Tim

Tim, Sorry to lead you astray with that date. I did mean the 18th.
Thanks for clearing that up Wayne!
Cheers John

The DC8 is gone - it either left today or it has been moved to another remote area.

Could have been towed to the Pond or where AF1(near Hanger 96)was parked because it couldn't exactly leave yet because it has stuff to transport according to other posts. Itd better not be gone!

...Well I guess that's one thing we haven't thought of....the tour ends in MEL...and it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to send the stageshow down overnight on a fleet of trucks rather than a fuel burning old DC8.

I contacted a friend who is on the riggers crew at Acer Arena this arvo, and he reckons they are loading equipment on trucks straight after Wednesdays show.

Can only suggest, Tim, that Nigel's eyeball mk.1 should be asked to confirm DC8 is still on the ground this evening if it is working tonight :-)

Nige?????????

Cheers
Wayne

Another one missed - the DC8 left yesterday at around 1330 and since found out it went to Jakarta!
