Corporate Spin. Someone getting paid a lot of money came up with the "tow bar pin shear" excuse.

Truth is, it probably did break... because it was trying to pull an A330 out of the dirt.

Was that before or after the right main gear got bogged on the turn-in to Bravo-6 (a Code C taxiway) as per Phil M's post?
