Default Army Kiowa at Granville Oval

Driving past Granville Oval about 30mins ago I noticed this Army Bell 206 Kiowa (A17-001) sitting there under military guard. Wandered over to the army guys & got chatting for about 20mins. They said that chopper was flying around when the pilots got an indication in the cockpit advising them that metal shavings were floating around in the engine oil. Quick inspection by the mechanics & they said that it is right to fly back to the Holsworthy base in the morning. However they were more than happy to let me take photos of the "sick" bird.

(all these shots were hand held taken at 1.3sec, f/8 & ISO640)

The thing would be up on bricks and set on fire if there were no guards there

Lovely part of town

Also formerly residing 5 minutes away from this park, I too concur that it really isn't as bad of an area as people make it out to be.

Nice photos Jayden!
