Default Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of its sixth A380 aircraft from Airbus.

Quote:

The new aircraft will allow the carrier to launch a second daily flight between Singapore and London, starting on September 20. The Singapore - London route is the first in the world to be operated twice a day by the superjumbo.

Anyone know if they A380 was in yesterday(18th Sept)? A 744 opperated SQ222 yesterday afternoon. I'd be spewing if I was going on the A380 flight and flying a 744.

Hi Tim. Was at the airport most of yesterday morning. No A380 yesterday. It is in today though.

Hmmm.... Well, I looked on 16right, but nothing came up (and nor does it show any A380 for some reason...), but I think/sure it was an SQA380 there!

I am confident in this, as when I was looking, I mean, avoiding traffice whilst trying to merge across on GH drive, I saw the SQ744 depart, and by the time I got across to the mound, that is when I saw the QF a332 at the 34L 25/07intersection with the firetrucks etc...

Infront of it was the Virgin A346, behind Ethiad A346 and beyond that I suspect UA and they towed the Malaysian 744...

Help?!?!

Bernie and Tony,

Looks like a 747 to me

Here she is being towed to stand 72 around 7am yesterday. Rego 9V-SPI

Edit: Found another pic, here's a tight crop at like 300% of the situation at the remote stands.

Ok, bye.

Ok... I stand corrected... But even still, SPI is not on ACARS, or am I just misreading it???
