That's very good! Hope to get a 747-2F sub! But I don't think the 747-2 has the range?
Thought they might start SYD flights. Last edited by Brad Varney; 24th August 2012 at 10:55 AM. |

The 742's don't have the legs sadly to pull off that flight. However, in the past other cargo and passenger airlines have made stopovers on direct flights when a aircraft has subbed that does not have required range so it isn't necessarily impossible to get a 747-200F on this flight if the right circumstances occurred.
This service does give us a very good chance at seeing their new 747-400ERF which is the last 747-400 ever built. It was left stored after being built in 2009 and Connie aquired the bird late last year. |

Shayne,
Dubai Airwing operate a B742F (A6-GDP) before the acquired A6-GGP. |

Yes they did, but that used to go via Singapore or another port each time?

Hey Lloyd,
You may be spot on like usual with this. The inbound flight is a 9000 flight number, Connie uses these flight numbers for positioning flights so I expect these planes will arrive empty. The final destination appears to be Afghanistan, I'm guessing these are ADF flights in which case would probably be temporary so the 10 flights over 10 days might be all we get. Thanks for your always informative info, hope a 742 gets in the mix somehow. |

Having met Connie a few years ago in the states through my association with Top Fuel Racing,I'm not sure that he would agree with that
I for one wouldn't mind catching a glimpse of that new 747-400ERF that Shayne mentioned if it happened to get here. Jim
