Default Air India 787 to Sydney and Melbourne in September.

That's interesting as I have heard 01JULY12 to be the first flight!

Don't hold your breath guys!

I'll believe it when I see it with my own eyes!

They are notoriously unreliable and planned MEL years ago and on numerous times cancelled the initial service!

I think it will happen this time,as they have been advertising for tenders for ground handling at MEL and SYD.

If this is true and eventuates just shows how incompetent Qantas is. Didn't they just withdraw services-oh well maybe the only overseas flights they'll have will be to Lord Howe (and Tassie of course)

Yes Jayden it was meant to start early July but has been delayed to September.

ETA 1815 hrs 1,2,4,6 and 1850 3,5,7. Is the plans at the moment subj to change.

Not good times.

You didn't hear it from me but SACL failed to lure AI, and they are serving Melbourne only.

Their first 787 departed Paine field 4 hours ago on delivery.
