Default Qantas Wifi Trial

Does anyone know how the trial for wifi on the A380 flights between YSSY/YMML and LAX? The trial started in early March and it was announced that it would be First and Business classes for the first few weeks of the trial before opening it up to the rest of the aircraft.

I am keen to know as I shall be departing YSSY to LAX this Wednesday.

My dad was on QF12 last week and he said they had wifi the whole flight. He said the guy next to him was on his ipad a lot of the way on the net. Not sure if this is continuing now though? And I think it's only on some A380s.

Yeah he was in Business class. I think it was only available in First and Business. Also, as an A380 is under maintenance, Wednesday's QF11 is a 744, so you wouldn't get it anyway if you're not going through Melbourne that is.

Bugger! My family and I were really looking forward to travelling on the A380 to LAX again. I find it far more enjoyable than flying on the QF B744 and booked accordingly. The fact that the wifi trial doesn't appear to have transitioned throughout the cabin as planned by now is equally bad. Is the B744 service for QF11 on Wednesday a certainty? If so, can you please advise the rego.

BTW, thanks for the heads-up Jason.

Unfortunately yes tomorrow is a 744 due OQC in maintenance until the 18th. QF11 tomorrow should be VH-OJS.

Why doesn't VH-OQJ fly as it is in Sydney?
