Default Cliff Richard and the Shadows....Australian Tour

Does anyone know whether he is using a private jet for this tour?

He was in Adelaide last night and also again tonight.

Excellent show, the music we grew up with.

The Falcon 900 M-SAIR is airborne from Adelaide heading for SYD.

I thought this was the one they were using? Might be a quick trip to SYD and return if it is.

cheers Robert.

Saw the presentation of a plaque presented to the Cannel 9 guys at the oval the other nite. Forget the guy's name that was travelling with them.

When I was in Kenya (1959-1963) Cliff Richard and The Shadows toured their.

A very young (16) female friend managed to get to meet them at their hotel and showed me her photos with Cliff, Hank etc mucking around the hotel pool.

In those days there was a big Elvis v Cliff 'war' on and the cinemas were packed whenever there was an Elvis film or Cliff's "Summer Holiday".

Yes I grew up with him also.

At last night's concert, they spoke about Brian Bennett, the Shadow's drummer and his experience at Heathrow Airport recently. He co-wrote a lot of the group's music.

He overheard a group of schoolkids singing " We're all going on a Summer Holiday", he told the group leader that " I wrote that song" and the female leader told him " Go away! "

My, how society has changed for the worst.....

Sorry for late reply just got back from a quick visit to SYD to photo the exec jets. Couldn't get a clear shot of M-SAIR.

Yes, Brian Bennett who had a nice chat with Mark Nicholas.

Saw lots of groups in the UK but not Cliff & Co, or the Beatles or the Stones!
