Default Air France AF445 emergency mayday call

From Airlineroutes.com

Quote:
An AIRFRANCE Airbus A330-200 issued a mayday call over the Atlantic on 30NOV09, reported by The Aviation Herald. AIRFRANCE AF445, was operating from Rio de Janeiro to Paris CDG, 29NOV09 departure.

The crew on the aircraft, registered F-GZCK, issued MayDay emergency signal as the aircraft encountered severe turbulence and were descending to a lower altitude.

AIRFRANCE is not commenting on this incident, as per report. AF445 was introduced in June 2009, about a week after the crash of AF447.

The A330-200 managed to land at Paris CDG safely, 29 minutes behind schedule.

Not a very good couple of days for air france.
