Looks like ZNK is heading to MEL.

Wonder if it will be in service tonight ?

VH-ZNJ has now taken off as QF775 for Perth, having operated a Melbourne - Brisbane rotation as QF7410/QF7411 in the early hours - staged testing with longer and longer routes - where next ?

While FlightAware shows a 787-9 QF6027 flight from Sydney to Melbourne, it hasn't taken place yet - [Edit] it has just appeared on FlightRadar24.

ZNJ has been delayed by nearly 4 and a half hours before operating QF775 to PER. It will be interesting to see if she will return to MEL on a domestic flight or possibly operate QF9 this evening, as it looks as though QF10 from LHR to PER that was due to arrive today in the early afternoon has been cancelled, as has the onward QF10 to MEL.

Today's QF9 from MEL-PER is still scheduled however, which could be operated by ZNK with ZNJ returning to the east coast on another domestic service.

ZNJ is turning around in Perth as QF772 back to MEL.
Today's QF9 is being operated by ZNB.

Looks like ZNK went into service "early" based on the extra flights Aus <-> NZ flights.

A large number of Kiwis have come over for the Boxing Day Test.

Hopefully the last one out, turns off the light.

VH-ZNF positioned Melbourne - Brisbane yesterday to bring the 787-9 numbers in Brisbane up to the necessary level, in order to operate the extra QF55/QF56 787-9 services from Friday.
