Default China Southern to Offer Adelaide Charter Service in Feb 2013

Update at 0540GMT 09JAN13

China Southern Airlines in February 2013 is to offer 2 round-trip charter service on Guangzhou – Adelaide route, on board Boeing 777 aircraft. The charter service is part of the Skyteam member’s Chinese New Year extra flights program, which also includes extra charter flights to Cairns.

CZ6017 CAN2245 – 0945+1ADL 777 07FEB13/14FEB13
CZ6018 ADL1125 – 1725CAN 777 08FEB13/15FEB13

They are actually charters as part of a tour organised to visit the Harbin Ice festival.

The charter is backfill, the main driver being the increase in demand for CNY, with ADL joining CNS for the first time for the charters inbound.

having been in that part of the world in winter, I find it hard to believe that anyone would be on that flight... -30C is usual maximum daytime temp.

The aircraft did rotate early. I would have had a few people going to see the harbin ice featival tour.
