Default Qantas 747 Routes

Hi

I am planning a flight on Qantas, and I am wondering which configs normally operate which routes.

Thanks

All Qantas 747's are configured in 3 classes now (Business, Premium Economy and Economy). The only one that I know which is in 2 classes is VH-OJD. This is pretty much the backup bird for any of the flights. Correct me if I am wrong but I think OJL and OEB are the only two birds that have First Class left, all the other birds don't have First Class anymore.

So OJL and OEB would be 4 class configuration IIRC.

As to the routes it's pot luck which bird operates which route, but the routes that need the ER are Santiago and Dallas. The other routes are a mix and can be done by any of the aircraft.

Hope this helps.

QF7/8 SYD-DFW-BNE-SYD is only operated by ER's (OEE-OEJ) which have the A380 style seats

QF27/28 SYD-SCL-SYD is also only operated by ER's as far as I'm aware

QF51/52 BNE-SIN-BNE, QF15/16 BNE-LAX-BNE and QF107/108 SYD-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD are operated by the ER's and also OJS-OJU which have the A380 style seats, you do get the odd flight that will be operated by a different rego

QF5/6 SYD-SIN-FRA-SIN-SYD and QF63/64 SYD-JNB-SYD appear to be a bit of a mix with mainly OJA-OJM operating the services with OEB, OEE-OEJ and OJS-OJU operating the odd flight

And QF21/22 SYD-NRT-SYD you can get pretty much any rego

QF127/128 SYD-HKG-SYD appears to be mostly OEB with the odd OJ* aircraft operating the flight, A380s operate this service four times a week i think and 3 per week are 747s

Don't Forget OJD, A 2 Class Aircraft has been known to service:

QF 51/52
QF 5/6
QF 21/22
QF127/128
QF63/64
