Midnight arrival into Maroochydore?

Hey guys I rarely get time to read or post in YSSY these days, but am hoping someone can help.

Just got of the phone from dear old Mum who's been retired to Maroochy for years now and both Mum and Dad are always interested when they see or hear something unusual in aviation.

Mum said she heard a "regular sounding" aircraft come in last night, but at midnight... She says most flights generally stop around 8:30 to 10:00pm at the latest... Usually!

She's wondering if there was a divert, delay or special flight?

What does she mean by "regular sounding"?

Could have been an RFDS King Air at that time of the night.

They're under one of the flight paths and watch VB, Q, TA & JS come and go quite a bit.

If it was a jet it was more likely the SIngapore Airlines cadets buzzing around.

Highly doubt it was RPT at that time of night.

Singapore Flying College LJ45 VH-SQR was recorded on balus on the 11th at about 2218 so was probobly just that.
